Bedale Osteopaths

We are a friendly and professional team of Osteopaths who are here to offer advice , support and hands on treatment for  anyone suffering with muscle or joint pain, low back or neck pain , shoulder problems or minor sports injuries.

We also have an acupuncturist and a massage therapist who work in our team , more information can be seen on our website .

We normally offer a face to face service but during the COVID 19 lockdown we have also opened up a video consultation service to allow our more vulnerable patients to still access advice and assessment bit without the increased risk of a face to face consultation.

During a consultation it is usually possible to offer an assessment of your condition, advice on what to do next and how to manage your injury/ condition for the speediest recovery. You will be offered advice and support on exercises to rehabilitate you and get you back to functioning normally. We can also offer advice for people who are working at home helping you set set up your work environment so that you can avoid muscle and joint problems.

At this stressful time we are also helping people with advice on breathing exercises that can help with reducing stress and anxiety and may help support those who are recovering from long covid.

Coronavirus support

During the corona virus lockdown many non essential NHS services were put on hold and now have a backlog. We are now seeing many people who felt they didn’t want to bother the NHS during the first wave of the pandemic but they are now suffering with problems that have built up or not resolved.

Whilst no contact can be considered 100 percent risk free we have robust measures in place to ensure that anyone visiting the practice for a face to face appointment is as safe as possible.

We are risk assessing and screening all of our patients prior to their visit to ensure that we offer them the safest appointment type for their needs and to screen for covid contact and symptoms.

We have reduced our patient and staff numbers to keep any social contact to a minimum whilst people are with us. All of our practitioners are wearing PPE, and we are airing and using air filters in the treatment rooms and cleaning each surface between each visit.

Video consultations are being offered to those who need to avoid social contact and to reduce time in clinic.

Stress and anxiety levels have been high for many so many of us during this crises , it has been lovely to have so much positive feedback from patients who have attended for treatment , saying that they felt very safe and well looked after with the protocols that we have in place.
